Eligibility Process

Applying for Home Warranty Insurance firstly involves obtaining Eligibility.

Eligibility is the process where a Builder undergoes an assessment to obtain approval to purchase Home Warranty Insurance for work they wish to undertake.

Factors that may be considered in the assessment are:

  • Building Experience.
  • Financial Performance.
  • Net Tangible worth of the trading entity.
  • Profit margins.
  • Adverse information.

Austagencies have reduced the complexity of applying for eligibility by providing a single application form.

By submitting this form we will establish which insurer can best suit your specific needs and we will work with you to process your application to obtain the best outcome.

After a successful application you will be issued with a Certificate of Eligibility. This certificate may be required by builder licensing and registration bodies, to assist with your licence renewal process. Your Certificate of Eligibility will also contain information relating to the limits set by the Insurer, such as:

  • The total value of works that can be insured in a year;
  • The maximum contract amount for the different type of projects;
  • The types of construction projects that you have nominated.
