CPE is a dedicated Mobile Plant & Equipment underwriting agency, providing the specialist cover that today's plant operators need.

Since it began underwriting in 1995, CPE has achieved rapid growth with more and more clients electing to protect themselves and their business with a policy that is easy to understand and one that can cover the additional exposures that most operators face.

Coverage is not the only factor and CPE excels in providing a fast and efficient service to brokers, not just when quoting new business but more importantly, when handling claims.

Capable of handling the larger schedules of equipment, CPE is also happy to look at the smaller risks with one or two items. Being a proactive underwriter, we aim to provide innovative solutions to problematic risks wherever possible.

Our target business is traditional earthmoving equipment, mobile cranes and other heavy plant and machinery. We can absorb some motor vehicles associated with this equipment but do not write 'heavy haulage' operations.

The CPE facility has been backed by a number of first class insurers. With effect from June 2009, our security changed 100% to Great Lakes Australia (GLA). GLA is a branch office of Great Lakes Reinsurance (UK) PLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Munich Reinsurance, one of the world's largest reinsurance companies.
